Chinese Medicine supports the idea of prevention of illness before it occurs by supporting and strengthening the body and the immune system.
Stomach 36 - also known as Zusanli is an effective acupuncture point for boosting your energy levels and strengthening the immune system, that's why it's quite often a go-to point for treating fatigue. Stomach 36 is located about a hand length below the knee, one-finger breadth lateral of the anterior crest of the tibia. Applying firm pressure to this point will often produce a strong sensation that travels down the leg.
To apply acupressure, get yourself into a comfortable position so you can reach the point. Apply firm pressure while breathing steadily into your abdomen then release and repeat. You can perform this routine for a few minutes each day to help boost your resilience preparing you for cold and flu season which isn't far off.
