If you are experiencing any menstrual problems an acupuncturist will treat the phases listed below, each treatment will be specific to your needs.

Phase 1: Menstrual Bleeding

The focus is on supporting the flow of Qi and blood to ensure the flow is healthy and there are no cramps, clots, heavy bleeding, or scanty flow.

Phase 2: Yin Building

Yin is fluid, blood, and tissue. During phase 1 yin will be depleted, phase 2 will assist in boosting blood for a healthy uterine lining.

Phase 3: Ovulation

During this phase yin energy is at its peak, and yang energy is starting to rise to allow the release of an egg and fertile cervical mucus. The focus here is to unblock any stagnant energy encouraging healthy ovulation.

Phase 4: Yang Energy

The yang phase is about warmth and movement. Basal body temperature should be rising during this last phase of the cycle. Here, the focus is on improving Yang energy.
